Releasing Players and Compensation
Contracts of professional players can be cancelled before the date they
are scheduled to expire, so that they can leave the club with immediate effect.
To release a player from his contract a small fee in the form of
compensation must be paid.
The amount of compensation to be paid is dependent on remaining term
of the contract. Compensation amounts are graded according to the length
of the contract and is resolved by the following rule
For the current season: 90% of the player's salary
For the upcoming season: 80% of the player's salary
For the third season: 70% of the player's salary
For the fourth season: 60% of the player's salary
Compensation is payable immediately, and is deducted from the team's
account once the contract has been terminated.
Conditions for terminating a player's contract

The player only has one contract (no successor contract).

At least 37 days have to have passed since the contract has begun.

The player is not on placed on the transfer market.

The player has no other contract offers from other teams.

The squad of the respective player includes more than 18 players.
